Is AI a Scary Black Boxing?

I think it's definitely natural to be a little bit nervous with terms of AI, especially because it is just developing so fast. But as an IT student, it'll open up so many career paths for other students like me. There's definitely a fear that one day AI will be able to do the jobs that we're doing and replace us but overall there's more excitement about everything that can come out of AI. I mean, there's so many ways it's already bettering our current society.
