In many ways, nigeria is representative of a number of resource rich african countries who have struggled to move up the value chain by adding value and processing raw materials prior to export. And you talked about the politics of building a post oil economy in nigeria. That certainly could be a post cobalt economy in the democratic republic of congo, or a post boxite economy in guinea. It applies to a number of different countries. So when i do with te book, i try to address the kind of er academic debates around resource rich countries,. ah, and then try to distil aspect of those debates into actual policy iplications for these countries.
