City on the Edge of Forever
The episode City on the Edge of Forever is a remarkable episode even for people who aren't into science fiction. The Enterprise finds this, I don't know what you would call it, entity, portal called the Guardian of Forever. It's essentially just some rocks with some kind of multicolored special effects in the center. That kind of time travels you to different points in space and time. And through a series of unfortunate events, the Enterprise crew finds themselves back in 1930s America prior to Second World War.
