Volunteer Management - Lessons From a Nonprofit Setting
Volunteer management is a career path for many people, but not in the nonprofit sector. It's challenging to go into an organization where staff are hands off volunteers and they think it's all up to this one position. The now my nonprofit students don't have that as defined. And so I tried to share with them that you can create systems. And create your well, well machine of your program and make it strong because if you're sick one day, it doesn't have to all folk art because you're not there. Even as a department of one right you have to advocate to get support from paid staff. You have to establish volunteer leadership.
