Self regulation is a really q priority for me, am. I do a thing with some coaches where i get them to start the e start the day that some one's born,. And just make a list and a time line of all the things that affect how good someone's going to be at sport. The ability to go away and do stuff when you're not thered in almost every sport especially as a developing athlete is far more important. It might be one year, in a specific age group, a couple f hours a week, which is a very small amount of influence on over all development.
