The Politics of Racism

So much of public discourse around race nowadays is just, let's just get us to use the correct words. But where we're at now is it's almost like that's all that anti-racism has become. And what's happened is that we've just found ways for the kind of deep structural inequalities to continue. They don't work through the constant need to assert racial superiority in that explicit way anymore. So with all of that stuff in place, they don't need to be doing the kind of stuff that I grew up with of the abuse on the streets and stuff like that to keep the system going.
