The Importance of Targeted Advertising

Every Amazon purchase, any receipt ever sent to your mailbox? Think about that. I don't mind if Amazon wants to review my purchase history with their own servers and then figure out what I might be into. That doesn't really bother me that much. It's more like the total surveillance to try to piece me up into many different markets for many different ad purposes.
