The idea that the ancient Greeks were on psychedelics was not a popular theory in the late 1970s. Carl Ruck, who's now 87, is experiencing yet another rebirth. The Romans and potentially the earliest Christians using these kinds of drugs to instantiate spiritual experiences. And so some pretty interesting data came to light, shows this is a discipline worth visiting.
