The Templars and Gnosticism

There's some evidence that the Templars were Gnostic revivalists of a sort. They seem to have a disdain, you know, for matter. So this is a I don't know how far a field we want to go here into Gnosticism but there's kind of Gnosticism in ancient Gnosticism could be extraordinarily ascetic or it could be extraordinarily antinomian. There's no law, there's no rules, do whatever.
