The Importance of Internet Shutdowns in India
Access to internet is a fundamental right under Indian constitution. So when we look at the situations which require this, you know, serious step to be taken or this kind of an urgent action, it has to be in public interest. And if some, so, except social media, all other websites can be unblocked, sort of, that's also not a very feasible solution because VPNs are there and there's just a lot of things that you've been doing. Again, social media is also an important integral part of,. you know, even right to profession, right to freedom of speech and expression. Thank you, Ms. Jalani.
