Did Studying Persia Give You a Window Into Indian Culture?
I had no specific career plans. My boarding school was founded by j christian worthe. Itwas in south india, and we were encouraged to do things for the sake of it. I was not thinking instrumentally in any way. I was following my interests. And you know, did studying persian and doing, for example, spending time in iran and syria and all of that, give you a window in two aspects of india and indian culture which are otherwise invisible to us. Many of us don't think of ourselves as the sort of melting pot that we are where all these influences exist.
