We Need More Teachers, Not Less of Them
One in 14 teachers is gone from our public education system. As a society we also laid off huge numbers of school support person the janitors, the food preparers, the assistants and bus drivers. And these tend to be older workers who are already more vulnerable who have to take kids to school or work in schools. On and on. If this country ever meant all that talk about ared sacrifice, we would have taxed the billionaires to take care of the children and the teachers and the people who support public education.
