Like guild organizations in, like, mediaeval times. They often have some kind of el symbolism for the meaning of their profession. There's a big difference between very high up people who are involved in premasonic lodges and sort of the ones you see on the street corner. And that's probably one desire to get greater interest for petty bourgeois like people.
