The Importance of Keeping Details Hidden Behind an Abstract Pattern
For the classes I taught, it's definitely much more the former or sorry, the latter in terms of just sticking with the basics. As far as design patterns go, the wrapper is by far the easiest to understand and to communicate. Because it becomes obvious the second time you have to port something. And even though it's easy to conceive of, it's often hard to do it right.
