I Think the EU Will Miss Its Best Available Window for Reform and Necessary Integration
I think the EU will miss its best available window for a big leap forward in terms of reform and necessary integration. There is a consensus now across many of the major capitals including Paris, Brussels and Berlin that the EU does need major reforms. A sensible union would take this coming year as the chance to do so. But I don't see the big bang that I've just described coming this year because the divisions at the moment are too great.
