SMRs - Are They the Way of the Future?

The cost overruns on conventional nuclear reactor builds in the states of Georgia and South Carolina literally bankrupt Westinghouse in 2017. A lot of people are saying that the solution to these problems is to focus instead on a trend known as SMRs for small modular nuclear reactors. Mark O'Mara: The blanket phrase SMR can hide products that are just very bad ideas, badly designed and would probably be badly implemented. He says America needs to relearn how to build and there are lessons and insights in shrinking reactors back down That may end up making higher quality construction projects which lead to a resurgent nuclear building in the US.
