Bala was feeling well enough, initially after his release that he wanted to make a movie right away. Ed wood wrote something called the ghoul goes west, starring bala as a mad scientist preying on cowboys. Wood then got a camera and some film and told bala to put on his cape. They went to a graveyard, and wood shot bala walking around. Then ed started writing a script for bela as vampyra's husband. Bala had become partially deaf with old age, and he would often say disparaging things about hope to his friends.
