The book is about more than artists as simply style icons. You say that what an artist wears can be a tool in their practice, and that their clothing can speak of their desire for another mode of living. There are so many examples in the book, but who exemplifies that for you? So many of them. A key conversation for me in the book was with sarah lucaswe we emailed over a couple of seasons,. And it was gorgeous to kind of have this email correspondence that was like sending letters. We started when it was the winter storm that became known as the beast from the east.
