Abortion Pills in Red States
A small group of American doctors and midwives are trying to figure out how to write these prescriptions, even though it is illegal in certain states. They do at the moment provide telemedicine abortions in red states, but they rely on the Austrian medical license of a doctor in the Netherlands. When Rebecca Gompertz prescribes these pills, they're delivered through a distributor in India and they can take a few weeks to arrive. But ideally you would have from an abortion care standpoint, if you're talking about access, you want US providers to be able to do this as well.
