Cold exposure can increase our energy expenditure acutely. This is a largely uncoupled respiration, which means we're burning through sub straits but not because we're trying to generate a t p in the process. And then of course, another response to cold exposure is shivering. In order to induce a meaningful increase in energy expenditure, something that we're really going to care about in terms of long-term body comp regulation, it's got to be pretty cold.
