The US Military Occupation of the South

Korean People's Republic declared by Koreans themselves went unrecognized by the United States. General Hodge, however, would soon declare war on this original People's Republic. With that military government came a series of economic liberalization measures. American occupation took back properties that Koreans had seized from collaborationist or Japanese owners.
