Apache Arrow is a data format that can be represented in memory the same way. It's basically a data interchange format for basically our data tier and our query processing tier. And then also exposing that out to clients. So basically we can process data across the network and all this other stuff without having to waste a bunch of time like say serializing it into protobufs or representing it as these like ghost trucks.
