The Story of Pasteurization

In the middle of the 19th century, it was very hard to get safe milk to drink. They had these terrible swill milk kind of industrial farm factories in downtown Manhattan. And you could get tuberculosis from milk. You know, there's something like more than 50% of all deaths in New York in the 1850s were young children.
