The Last Aztec Emperor, Quate Moin, Was Captured by the Spanish
The last aztec emperor, quate moin, was captured by the spanish and tortured until he revealed the loca nof all the remaining gold in the city. This caused a great deal of anger among cortez's soldiers who had promised vast hoardes of gold for their troubles as bernardiaz remembers. The shields of our warriors were its defence, but they could not save it. We have torn our hair in grief. Worms are swarming in the streets and plazas, and the walls are splattered with gore. Our city is lost and dead.
