It doesn't require an awareness. We need to have a more greater respect for the body sense of knowing, which is not necessarily in our awareness. If you start seeing this as functionally reflexes that your body does, then you change the locus of responsibility. You become basically on a journey to understand more about who you are, your body, and more about what it is to be a human.
