Tacko: I think Vermeer picks up on another kind of idea that we hold dearly in Western society which kind of centers around trade, ideas of desire. We never thought it would be possible to do this and having more paintings together now than Vermeer probably himself saw at the same time is really incredible. In the exhibition I've been very fortunate to bump into Alvaro Barrington the artist and he's here with a sketchbook actually drawing responding to Vermeer. It's an incredible honor because there's a few artists who point us as a society in a certain direction like Michelangelo. For me a cut through that we know we're looking at works on the
