The Story of Anna Kuzic and Basil Barutsky
Anastasia Kuzic, known as Anna to Friends and Stasia or Stasia to her family, had worked as a park ranger in Algonquin Park before moving to the community of Willnow. She loved nature and animals and was known for her passion for horses. The day before New Year's Eve, Basil brutally assaulted Anna and tried to choke her. Just like he did with Natalie, he convinced her that it was because of vengeful, crazy women and that he was the victim.
