The Importance of Honesty and Community Engagement

My review of Erra "Nigh To Silence" upset a lot of people, and it made me realize that people mostly don't want honest reviews and reactions. Should I just give up and tell people what they want, or should I continue to be honest when I do reviews or reactions?
