The Relationship Between Science and Technology

People start building steam engines in the early 18th century but they knew something because you don't know anything at all. Aristotle couldn't have built a steam engine because he didn't understand that a vacuum is possible remember he said nature of words a vacuum but nor did he realize the existence of an atmosphere. So once you have the possibility of a vacuum and you have the knowledge that there is an atmosphere that's living at the bottom of the atmosphere then its steam engine becomes feasible now the atmosphere wasn't really discovered until 1643 so after that the steam engine became feasible. People did not know why and how a steam engine worked until the evolution of thermodynamics in the middle of the 19th century
