The Messianic View of Mercy in the Middle of Judgment

The pattern of God displaying mercy in the midst of judgment argues for this as a messianic view. The two greatest examples of that throughout the history of redemption are Genesis 3 15 and Genesis 315. And so what I argue in my notes is this, if there's a subsequent pattern after Genesis three of mercy in the middle of judgment, could it be that the antecedent Genesis 3 15 is actually the basis for the subsequent patterns?
