How to Use the Standard Sync Module With Cross Beam Pointer?

I don't think you need channels to use ARC and vice versa. You could use them independently. And then as far as cross beam is concerned, it's not just APOC based thing,. So could you not use the standard sync channels with cross beam pointer? Or I guess I wouldn't call it a pointer.
