The Role of Snakes in the Wildlife Ecosystem in India

India loses one-third of its agricultural produced rodents. Snakes are the only creatures that can actually go into these burrows, underground burrows, and absolutely devour rodents. If you put a male and a female rat in a room with food and water for 365 days, by the time they're 66 days there'll be about 2000 rodents. The more rodents you have around you, the more snakes you are going to attract.
