Earl Tupper sold his company to Rex All Drug Company for $16 million in 1958. He then unceremoniously got rid of the woman who had built it up, giving her a one-year salary and zero stock. She started a small company called Cinderella Cosmetics that folded after a year. It's not too bad for a boy who couldn't get his parents to build a playground on their farm.
