In the late 1990s, everyone got really excited about this thing called the internet and buying things online. But everybody at that time was largely still using dial up modem. And yet we had these dot com companies, pets dot com, garden dot com. They were spending huge amounts on these websites. Some of which would in load properly because the dial-up wasn't working.
