The God of the Hills Is Not the God of the Valleys
The god of the mountains is also the god of the valleys. He'll lift you from wherever height or depth you're in and help you home. I'm grateful to have seen his hand in both areas of my life. But sometimes erring on the side of mercy is an error. If someone's a hardened criminal and you just going t let them out every time, at what point does your mercy become enabling? You don't let a sex offender go free and let them go back into situations to further victimize people. And you certainly don't say it was merciful for you to do so. It wasn't merciful for the people upon whom that perpetrator will show no contrary here
