Stopping Distance Is a Function of Touchdown Velocities

Stopping distance is also a function of you know your touchdown velocity squared. In my home airport I see more problems landing because people are just coming in too fast than those that happen when they're coming in too slow. People who decide to pull the parachute and the serus that has a very high stall speed would probably be typically becoming in 70 75 knots if they chose to land in a field. That's a 5 to 1 difference so that's a 25 to 1 difference in the energy which basically means if you come down under the parachute you're going to walk away from it.
