How to Practice Rhythmic Element in Elementary School

By the end of fifth grade, I do want my students to know those names of the notes. And then I want to give a shout out for stations, which is a fantastic way to practice a melodic or a rhythmic element. So you can have a station where they are decoding, where they hear the rhythm. You can also have an improvisation area where you are giving them rhythm cards where two beats are dictated for them but then they have to create within the next two beats and share that.
