The Student Monks in Chiang Mai
Many of the student monks that you interview, they come from other parts of Buddhist Southeast Asia. They came to Chiang Mai in order to learn in English, which is something like learn through their monastic education and learn in English. So it's an example of a much more cosmopolitan expression of Thai Buddhism than we might be familiar with. And so I tried to make clear that if we're looking at all of Thailand, you're not going to see like this version of Buddhism.
