The Importance of Risk Management in the S&P 500

If you took that approach to trading the S&P 500, every time the mark goes in, you cut your risk. You're not going to harvest the long term risk premium. So something could, you know, something could actually be optimal for the long term as well. But others, and we certainly pick this up in the CTA series, they'll say, well, we want to be in business. We still have to manage the risk and manage the portfolio to deliver a return profile that will be palatable to investors.
