Using Eddy Current Separators in Recycling Plants
It's the roller coasters interaction with the magnetic field in the tracks that's causing it. Electricity and magnetism are inherently linked because of what materials are made out of at their very, very tiny scale. To separate out materials like aluminium that aren't magnetic they use a device called an eddy current separator. It has very clever features but why though? Why are electricity and magnetism so closely related?
