The Effects of Dehydration on Performance

If you're starting a race dehydrated then your ability to adapt to those ambient conditions which were threefold in fact as you mentioned at the top of the show is less. And that's where it's coming from intercellular fluids and extracellular fluids. So if you feel thirsty you are definitely going to slow down. Sometimes up to four or five percent before there is actually any deccumment in performance because of our ability to shift fluids around the body.
