What Is the Core Divide Between Center and Periphery?

We used to be a mass society. We have fractured into what I would call war bans. There are these crazy groups and less crazy groups that are where trust resides today. Trust does not reside with the old institutions. It resides in these fractured war bans that make a point of fighting with one another basically because the whole point is to attract attention to yourself. And again Donald Trump I think was the ultimate master and genius at that game.
