Lacey's Diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome
Lacey's parents said that her autism just developed to become what they called severe autism air quotes. Most cases are diagnosed between the ages of 5 and 9, but rarely it can be diagnosed as young as 3. The Asperger's label has been included into autism spectrum disorder or ASD. Lacey most certainly did not have locked in syndrome.
