The Covenant Between Man and Animal

There's a wonderful quote from joseph campbell that the basic hunting myth is a kind of covenant between the animal world and the human world. And i have a quote from henry beston, who wrote about a year in this house on the beach in east ham called the outermost house. And it speaks to the covenant between man and animal. I think we are in the realm of the covenant. We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals remote from human nature and living by complicated artifice.
