The Wild Lily - The Symbol of Leoculture

The students camped out in the square for six days from march sixteenth, 19 90. Their four main demands were to dissolve the national assembly with its aged members and abolish temporary provisions which limited political and civil rights. President lee refused to come down to the square, but did agree to meet student representatives of each university. The wild lily movement was to represent the tywenese nature of the demonstration,. as this was a native flower of the island.
