How Do You Judge a Leader Who Tells a Lies?
How do you judge a leader in a democracy who tells the people a lie to achieve some greater end? Do you measure that by consequences? Yes, you have to. You have to say theyre there. I make a distinction in the book between what i call self regarding lies, an other in lies. Is what roosevelt was doing when he said the that the american ship was attacked, when in fact it was the other way round. And sometimes i think you justify that by consequences.
