Essex Market in the Nineties

The essex street market was still serving its primary role as well, of providing the neighborhood with affordable dyes. There was a very brief drama in 19 79 involving a cleveland investor who wanted to sweep in here and then turn essex market into an amusement arcade. A council person was quoted as saying that such a plan would bring in a bunch of rowdies like only a donkey cong machine can well. By 19 86, moving the forward, there were only 60 ventors here at essex market. And a shinin renovation that was done to the place really failed to spark much energy. Finally, in 19 95, operation of essex market was then handed back to the city
