Why Are They Cut Off From Christ?
According to paul, they are not unilaterally cut off before thy are born. They were cut off in time for their unbelief and with the hope that they may leave unbelief so as to be grafted back in. There is a select or elect group within israel that this word of god applies to. That group is brought about not simply because some other jews are bad, but because god is naming who is offspring. And if we do question it, then we are supposedly the interlocutor in romans chapter nine later when he says, who are you, o man, to question god? But i think there's a huge difference between those two Interlocutors.
