I went to a marketing conference many years ago and it was a funny conference because when you walk in people introduce themselves by two things they talk about how much money they make that's weird. What I learned was as you start to talk more to these folks they are doing very well but their entire identity is defined by how little they work. Those people have now created a box they've created a ceiling and they can never exceed that ceiling because of their identity.
