Kazakhstan's Foreign Policy
Kazakhstan may be playing particularly into the Western press with its divulgence from Moscow. But does Kazakhstan really have any other choice in this? For the Kazakhs to sell their goods abroad, it either means heading south through Central Asia into Afghanistan or Iran - which are both under sanctions. So no matter what Kazakhstan would like to do, will it be their geography that will largely determine their foreign policy going forward?
